Allowing Hope in Challenging Times
We all have times when the challenges we face seem like too much. Or when the problems we see in the world appear insurmountable.
The thoughts and feelings we have in these moments can diminish our sense of hope for the future. So how do we allow hope to rekindle within us when we feel the pull of sadness or despair?
A key step is to first observe the situations that cause you to feel more bleak or doubtful about your life or the future. Note what is happening around you or within you whenever you feel your sense of hope dimming. By being more aware of what arises when you are triggered – be they thoughts, emotions or patterns – you become better positioned to limit their effect.
Remember that you are not your thoughts, your feelings or your beliefs. You are the one who observes these and chooses how to respond in every moment.
Another powerful practice is to work with the energy of Divine Hope. This is a frequency that you can align with to help restore hopefulness within you. Consciously choose to connect with Divine Hope. Breathe in the energy again and again, so it fills you completely. Anchor the energy at the point where you connect to all of creation. Then allow the energy to flow through you and accept it. You may be able to sense this energy. Even if you can’t feel the energy, you may feel its effects.
Allowing Divine Hope in is like pressing a pause button on the thoughts, emotions and beliefs that may be dimming your sense of hope. In this space, you can choose your actions rather than be forced to repeat existing patterns. You can choose to be hopeful.
