Given the many and varied challenges we face in our lives, it may seem like true Joy is elusive. The truth, though, is that Joy – which I call Boundless Joy – is always accessible. And you can take steps to have it be more fully present in your experience of life.
Beyond the Pursuit of Happiness
If your efforts to bring more happiness into your life are not delivering lasting results, perhaps it is time to focus, instead, on allowing in Joy. We seem hard-wired to seek out the things and experiences we believe will make us happy. This state of mind is so important that the U.S. Declaration of Independence asserts people have an inalienable right to the pursuit of happiness.

How do you perceive what is happening to you and around you? More specifically, what do you tell yourself when something “bad” happens? Do you blame yourself or others for your circumstances?
